A proposed redevelopment plan has been presented for the Ashley Landing Shopping Center in West Ashley, including the
relocation of the Publix supermarket. Officials with real estate developer Faison, who purchased Ashley Landing in 2014, plan to meet with neighborhood associations next month to

In case you missed it, we recently shared a
Folly Beach Pier project update. Charleston County Parks and Recreation officials say that the project is still on track for a spring 2023 completion date + is expected to cost
around $14 million once construction is finished. We’re looking forward to seeing the finished product. 🚧(WCSC)
Civic - Charleston County Parks will be hosting a virtual public workshop tomorrow
evening to discuss the “Parks and Recreation for All” Comprehensive Plan. The workshop will be held at 6 p.m. + allow participants to share ideas, hear from staff, and engage in open discussion on the planning process. Residents are also encouraged to take the community survey, available through August 14. 🗓️
Community - Here are some interesting stats: Since opening in March,
Ashley River Park has already surpassed revenue and attendance goals. The Dorchester County park has seen more than 75,000 visitors as of July 20 — in just four months. Expansion and improvement plans are now being discussed, including park
