Cheers to our community 🥂 |
Cheers to the 10+ business and countless Charlestonians that participated in Charleston’s inaugural Drink Up Week. We had the best time supporting our neighborhood bars and restaurants + amplifying the talents of local beverage makers across the Holy City. |
We loved our team hangout at Baker and Brewer for Drink Up Week. | Photo by CHStoday |
Although the festivities ended yesterday, we will continue to celebrate our local drinkeries. Here’s how to keep the party going: -
Grab an oat milk latte at Second State Coffee.
-
Make your own at-home mocktail or cocktail using local ingredients including Tippleman’s + Charleston Mix.
-
Read up on the “Birthplace of Sweet Tea,” aka Summerville, and head to the upcoming Sweet Tea Festival.
- Take a walk down
history lane and explore Blind Tiger Pub. Pro tip: Head to the spot’s outdoor courtyard and order a Pub Burger.
-
Try Baker and Brewer’s upcoming “Charleston Brew” named by yours truly at CHStoday.

Editor's pick: In case you couldn't tell, we're all about shopping and supporting local here at CHStoday. Starting today, Basic Kitchen has begun its 3rd annual BK Salad Project — a six-week campaign celebrating local businesses, food education, and seasonal produce. 🥗
Each week, one of six guest "salad artists" will showcase a signature salad on the restaurant's menu + funds from this year's project benefit Charleston-based nonprofit The Green Heart Project.
As a self-proclaimed salad enthusiast, I can't wait to see (and try) the creations that come out of this wonderful campaign. Head to the restaurant at 82 Wentworth St. between now and Sun., Sept. 11 to check it out for yourself. Missed Friday's newsletter? Check out the Charleston Happy Hour Guide here. |
