The structure — which broke ground last year — will be a 21,000 sqft building with Neo-Gothic style, hints of Romanesque elegance, 170 ft spires, and icon towers.
Local company Trident Construction is leading the project along with DC Architects Franck & Lohsen. The church will be home to 2,300+ parishioners and located on Seven Farms Drive — adjacent to Etiwan Park and Bishop England High School.
What’s included in the masterplan?
- 2-story administrative and education complex
- Building serving as an event space

There will be 12 stunning Franz Mayer of Munich stained-glass windows to adorn the church. The inspiration for the building design also comes from the Basilica of Santa Chiara in Assisi, Italy, Stella Maris on Sullivan’s Island, and St. Matthews on King Street.

The new church is set to be completed in early 2023. The capital campaign to raise funds for the land, church, and furnishings has earned $14 million of the $22 million needed for the project. Track the progress.

Tatum here. There is so much to learn about health + wellness that it’s hard to know where to begin — especially if you don’t have access to the right resources. I recently learned that Palmetto Primary Care Physicians — a healthcare provider in SC — offers free virtual Health & Wellness classes.
Palmetto Primary Care Physicians offers 5 customized programs: Hypertension, Smoking Cessation, Living Well, Diabetes, and Pre-Diabetes. They are taught by health and wellness experts including dietitians, pharmacists, and a behavioral health specialist. The goal is to encourage patients to meet their health goals.
I took the “Diabetes” course and gained so much insight. Here’s what I learned and how you can #TryThis.

What we tried (with pricing):
I took the “Diabetes” class for free — all Health & Wellness courses are offered at no cost. The lesson was taught by a pharmacist and a registered dietitian and was administered via Zoom.
I became educated about the fundamentals of the disease + discovered why it is important to control your blood sugar. While a healthy diet and regular exercise were emphasized, I also learned that medication is not a last resort and can be a great tool in your toolbox to lead a healthier life. Ⓟ
