Kayaking + paddle boarding are great ways to explore the Charleston area. Tomorrow is the first day of summer, so we thought it’d only make sense to dive in to a few local spots to get your paddle on in the Holy City.

Remember when we gave you the inside scoop on three community gardens operated by the Charleston Parks Conservancy? You may not know that some of the garden produce is donated — including 42 pounds of veggies last week.
The conservancy has now partnered with the Charleston County Public Library to enhance their efforts + distribute healthy food through the Free and Fresh program, which works to provide access to fresh food in Charleston County to combat food insecurity.

While the brewery officially opened over the weekend, it will be celebrating its grand opening this Saturday, June 25 from 12-5 p.m. Head to The Lumberyard at 1859 Summerville Ave. to get your hands on the latest lager + hard kombucha.
