Locals Blake Sammons + Mandie Sammons welcomed their fourth baby on Sept. 29 — in the front seat of a car. They raced to East Cooper Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant and made it as far as the emergency room entrance.
“...But my son could not wait any longer, so I delivered him in the front seat of my car. Yep, that's right, no doctors, no nurses, just us three. It was one of the most incredible experiences of our lives,” Blake said in an email.
Mandie and the baby — named Jackson "Shotgun" Sammons — are happy + healthy. The birth was caught on camera in a reflection on the dash cam. Congratulations. 🎉
