Hello Friday.
April 19 2024
A local hole-in-one, Duck Donuts originated in the Carolinas, opening its first store in 2007. The idea was dreamed up in Outer Banks town Duck, NC, where founder Russell A. DiGilio vacationed with his family. From there, the shop spread across the nation — making its way to Charleston in 2018.
The eatery serves fresh, made-to-order donuts + coffee and has become a staple for local sweet tooths. What’s on the menu? Try the Beach Ball donut with vanilla icing and rainbow sprinkles or the Banana Fluffernutter donut with peanut butter icing and a marshmallow drizzle.
You can get a free powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar donut today at the store in honor of the holiday.
