211 is offered to our Tri-County community free of charge, and your support will help ensure this valuable service will continue to be a guiding light for our friends and neighbors in need!

The D. Michael Wilson and Pam Wilson Trident United Way 211 $100K Challenge was created thanks to a very generous gift from noted business leaders and community advocates, D. Michael Wilson and Pam Wilson, who lead the charge to raise $100,000 for Trident United Way’s 211 Helpline. The Wilsons pledged to match contributions to Trident United Way, dollar for dollar, up to $50,000, starting on Tuesday November, 30 through Thursday December, 2. We are incredibly grateful for their continued support of Trident United Way and our Tri-County community!

Update: Thanks to your generosity, the $50,000 goal was met on Tuesday, November 30! Your support has inspired the D. Michael Wilson and Pam Wilson foundation to contribute a second match of $25,000 to the challenge!

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted us physically, emotionally, mentally and financially, and the Tri-County area continues to feel the effects. Referrals from the 211 Helpline in 2020 were up 51% from 2019, and the number of calls from January - June 2021 were 24% higher than the same timeframe in 2020.

211 is an essential service that connects individuals and families in need to resources available. It is the most comprehensive source of information for health and human services in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester Counties. The service is available 24/7/365 and is accessible by dialing 2-1-1 from any phone, by visiting sc211.org or downloading the SC211 app.
